This, from the WSJ Energy Roundup, is an exceptional first: Iberdrola Renovables, the renewable energy arm of the Spanish energy giant Iberdrola, has landed a coveted spot on the PFC Energy 50's top rankings of the world’s largest oil and gas firms.
That translates to an enormous coup for renewables in 2007.
The PFC list is seen as an authoritative ranking of the top private energy industry companies by market capitalization. And this year marks the first time a clean energy company has made the cut, ever.
